I could smile for a while

It was a shaky 4.30am rude awakening to let the dog out followed by not getting back off to sleep but it was all made better when I was joined by the small bloke who wanted to have a snuggle and watch a movie in my bed. It's amazing how easy it is to snooze when you've seen a film a million times already.

Finally dragging ourselves downstairs at 10 I made us eggy bread for brekkie and wondered what we might do with our day. I'd not booked ski club, there's no footy and is not made plans so I decided on something I haven't done in years. I took us and Nana shopping, to Coventry, on a Saturday...am I mad??? This strange decision was driven by the fact that none of Miniman's clothes seem to fit again. Either my washing machine is shrinking everything (though I think my clothes are feeling snug because I've been over indulging) or the small bloke is having another growth spurt.

We managed to park, shop, purchase (mainly in a size age7-8...he's not 6 yet!!!) have a cuppa & a cake and get home unscathed. A lot less painful than I'd imagined. I don't much enjoy shopping but occasionally it's ok I suppose.
