Feather, Foliage, and Flowers

More delicate in large.

I had to escape... Today was the first day of 'Essential Mathematics', and I've never felt so unintelligent. My course warms up with 10 days of core maths training to prepare us for programming (*twitch*) and subsequent analytical training, and today didn't feel like a very gentle start.

I had an amble in the University Parks at lunchtime, and enjoyed taking macro photographs of the various exotic shrubs, succulents, and flowers. I've uploaded some other macro shots to Flickr (right from here); my alternatives would be Autumn Leaves, Intertwined, or Euphorbia & bokeh (although the euphorbs seemed altogether too geometric for my break from maths...).
