Seeking the light.....
Today was a great day for photography with lovely blue sky and constantly changing cloudscape. We did a circular tour of the Assynt Peninsula and stopped off frequently to take photographs. The lighting was changing from moment to moment and by the time we had stopped and got the cameras (and tripod in my case) out of the boot of the car the reason why we had stopped very often had disappeared as the lighting had changed. This was very much the case with my blip which was taken on the northern edge if Loch Assynt about halfway between Lochinver and Inchnadamph. I had pulled up because there was marvellous side lighting on these trees. By the time we had got ready to shoot the trees were black silhouettes and we had our only downpour of the day. We decided to wait once it had stopped and walked back up the road to get the right side of the trees. After twenty minutes we had given up and were walking back to the car when suddenly a shaft of light hit the trees and we hightailed it back up the road just in time to capture the lovely side lighting.
