Early bird?

Today was the first time in the 2+ years of watching that I've seen the peregrine falcon in the air. I could tell he was going to go, so I hung around - I was standing by my car for so long that a groundhog came out of the weeds right in front of me. Of course, I looked down when I heard him which was the exact moment the falcon took off. He was nice enough to do a loop above me and then return to the tower. For the worm, maybe (see second L).
