Bodging makes me feel good!

The new house has a wood burner, and I've become a little obsessed with sourcing, slicing and storing wood. We have a wood store, but it doesn't store quite enough for a whole winter. Not if you want to have some wood still seasoning for next year, anyway.

(I've split the best part of 3 tons of firewood in the last year).

So I built this. It's beyond bodged-I've never had any confidence in my own DIY skills, and the pallets I've used are just nailed directly together-but I made it…and it works. And I already know how to make the next one much better (by making a frame to attach the pallets to).

The eagle-eyed amongst you will notice the pallets becoming detached at the bottom-a schoolboy error of fixing the pallets together from above, rather than below-but that can be fixed when it empties…and it's doing its job until then.
