Fox and cubs

I was so tied up with finishing my new talk on butterflies and delivering it in Chesham in the evening that I forgot to post a photograph yesterday. I got so fed-up with sitting in front of a computer that I had a spell at midday wandering around the garden. The amount of colour still showing is remarkable. As the days get colder and more dull, the Rudbeckia, Sedums and Michaelmas daisies get brighter...and there are surprise escaped plants of this glorious little Orange Hawkweed still flowering away.
