Visited a long standing colleague today, who is going through the mill at the moment.  He has been receiving chemotherapy for the last three months, tackling cancer.  He was better than the last time I visited and seemed more positive as he hears the end of the treatment.  Just one more bout to go.  We talked for about an hour but you could recognise that even this was causing him to fatigue.  This was a man that just a few months ago ran regularly, living a fit and healthy existence.  It certainly makes you reflect on the fragility of life.

So (metaphorically) I raise a glass to him and hope we will soon be working together again.
