Old technology

Katya unearthed my mother in law's old sewing machine and was gushing about how beautiful and clever it was. I was amused - and annoyed in equal measure - by the instruction manual starting with "Dear housewife". 
Otherwise - had a better day today and a very pleasant lunch with my work team.
