Quick blip this evening as I'm exhausted after our flight home last night. I didn't get any sleep at all on the plane. If I don't fall asleep in the first 10 minutes, it generally just doesn't happen.

Anyway, what should have been a quiet evening at home turned out to be a noisy evening in the cathedral for the girl child's school concert. It was very good, but both Mme Tepeka and I could justifiably be accused of nodding off at times. We left in the interval, just before the 30-minute rendition of Verdi's Gloria, sung in Latin. We'd never have survived that, which is a shame, as I'm sure it was excellent.

It's good to go away, but it's nice to be home too.
