The orion nebula

I was fascinated that I could actually capture the orion nebula with my camera.

It is about 1300 light years away.  But given that it is about 24 light years across, it is quite a large thing.

It is the closest region of new star formation to the earth.

Even though this is quite a simple shot.  I like the thought of what is going on within the universe and that it can be captured with my simple camera.
