Farewell

So today, I gave away my piano -- the piano my parents bought when I began taking lessons in 3rd grade -- the piano that has been moved from South Carolina to Alabama to Louisiana to Tennessee back to Louisiana to Nebraska, and West Virginia, and Maryland, and DC. The piano that I've not played regularly in 20+ years, or even randomly in the last 4 years. Friends now have the piano and that is a good thing. Me letting go of the piano feels kind of momentous.
