Chasing waterfalls

Best thing to do when your area has had a month's worth of rain in 3 days - go and look at the waterfalls!
Yesterday the weatherman said that river levels had been rising at a rate of 2foot evey 10 minutes. That's a lot of water.
So with the falls in full spate it was a great walk. We did the Ingleton waterfalls trail. The picture is of Thornton Force, thundering down. If you look closely you can see a guy taking a photo behind the falls. Sadly, I bottled this manoeuvre, but I like to think he gives you an idea of the scale of it.
The sun came out and we even treated ourselves to the first icecream of summer. Fabulous afternoon.
