Glorious Dahlia

A stunning morning and we had just time for a brief walk in the sunshine before we begabn the drive home to Switzerland. This fantastic specimen was growing outside of an ancient chalet in a tiny hamlet set amongst the hillside which was a riot of autumn colours (see extra). Amazingly a few hours later we drove back over the maloja Pass in a heavy snowstorm.
