Water, Water, Water, Water, Water
I attended a forum tonight for candidates for Mayor, Town Council, and Water Commission. These 5 people are running for the water commission, a redundant utility that buys its finished water from the county and sells it to parts of our Township. They want to spend 40 million dollars on a reverse osmosis plant. The two guys on the left are current commissioners supporting the project. The man with the bow tie and the woman are highly educated, well prepared candidates running against the project, and would in fact like to see the commission, at some point abolished, being an outdated, unnecessary entity. The other man is a former member, running for one of the two openings and also a status quo advocate. My observations only!
The mayor received a petition with 2000 signatures opposed to the RO plant. The commissioner 2nd from the left says he knew nothing about it.
