Last day

This is the view from our translator's house looking towards Saida. We dropped her off at the end of another long day.

I spent the morning in Shatila camp for meetings in the office of an NGO there. The link, however, doesn't give any indication of just how grim and awful a place it is to live. It's not somewhere where it's ok to take photos though so I can't show the reality of the conditions there.

Then we went to the south for our last meetings and are now back in Beirut waiting to go for a last dinner with colleagues.
