View From the Campsite

Here's our view for our time in camp. There is a book by artist/teacher Danny Gregory called Art Before Breakfast, and this was my morning attempt, although I did have coffee to help the creative flow.Today was drawing day for me, and Mr S took a walk around the Valley. It is easily the hottest October trip we have ever made here, temps in the 80s, which makes it hard to consider a longer trek. I rode my bike around on the paths through the forest and found a shady spot to sit and make yet another sketch of Half Dome. The evening is warm enough to sit out in shirtsleeves, something I never remember doing before; we are usually quite bundled up by the time we have dinner and do the dishes.
