Up & Over the Hill

After getting off the ferry at Wellington we decided to drive over the Rimutaka Hill to stay in Greytown the night. This is a memorial at the Rimutaka summit lookout to those servicemen that used to hike over the hill from basic training in the Wairarapa to the Trentham Army Camp on the Wellington side to ready for the trip to Europe in WWI.
