Calella de Palafrugell

Strolled around the bustling market at Palafrugel, where there was a wonderful selection of local fruit and veg. cheeses and cured meat. Then off to the beach for a picnic and our first swim in the cool water of the med. as opposed to the freezing water of the Atlantic!! It was wonderful to be lolling about in the crystal clear water. Sunday is a busy day but today there was quite a buzz as it's the festival of San Juan, last night there was quite a display of fireworks into the night and today, a public holiday, everyone is enjoying the beach.
Tonight we are at the local hostel, mike is watching England vs Italy and Helen and I are blipping, with a nice cool glass of rose wine and the evening air is deliciously warm!
Off to Cadaques tomorrow to rendezvous with Dorianne.
