The Green Man

The Green Man is a pub. But it is named after a local woodland spirit. According to the locals, the Green Man is responsible for all sorts of mischief. If a farmer has forgotten to leave out a jug of cream as an offering, he might find that his cows produce sour milk or that his sheep are in the wrong field.

The Green Man was also responsible for the murder of the lollipop lady whose dismembered body was found inside a hollow tree in 1963.
