The Ghostly Tower

The iconic tower of Glasgow University is currently undergoing restoration work and this morning looked quite eerie in the early wisps of mist.

We were at Kelvingrove to visit the beautiful small exhibition "A Century of Style', a collection of fashionable dresses and other items from the 19th Century.  Made me think about fabrics, dyes and colour as well as the sociological importance of women's clothes: beautiful though the magnificent crinolines were I prefer to be able to move and breathe!

Think forward 100 years:  will there be a display of H&M jeggings and yoga pants?
