Everything had a reddish orange hue this morning as the sun came up through the haze of our local wildfire. It was somehow comforting to see the beauty of this reflected on a small scale in nature.
So far the fire has not destroyed any homes, but it is still 0% controlled and is growing northwest toward the next town. And we are having the hottest day ever recorded in the history of Colorado Springs - 103 F so far! Please pray for our courageous fire fighters.
