European Roller(Coracias garrulus)

This to me is a 'wow' bird to see and be able to photograph. I'm so used to seeing the slightly bolder (in colour) Indian Roller in the parks, & hotel gardens of Muscat, so when I saw this beauty I was very pleased and surprised. Driving along a bit further down the coast road at Finns, I saw Arabian Gazelle(such a treat to see so close to Muscat & completely wild) and not one European Roller but seven altogether in a tree! What a fabulous four day half term break this is turning out to be!
