Mullein moth, (Cucullia verbasci).
Caterpillar of the Mullein moth, (Cucullia verbasci). It lays its eggs on verbascum, buddleia and figwort at the end of spring. After hatching the caterpillars eat as much foliage as they can! They then hide in the soil to pupate. :)
