The Wall Street Crash, Hong Kong Style
It's getting warmer and maybe I should take a hint from the locals on how to deal with the heat. Crashing out during the day is the way to do it, apparently.
I remember this news stand from previous visits and I'm sure the same folk were there before, sleeping...
Extra Image 1: In Hong Kong most ex-pats have Filipino maids. They get one day off a week and they have to leave the house/flat for the day. This means they congregate in town finding anywhere to sit for the day. Not so many are off on Saturday (today) but on Sundays the whole of the Central area is full of maids, sitting, talking, eating, talking, etc., anywhere they can find
Extra Image 2: I've added this image because it is typical of everywhere these days. It was taken on the MTR (train) and shows everyone except the old couple on their phones. The great thing about the MTR is it is very cheap to use, punctual and the carriages are continuous so as it travels along it looks like a very long snake twisting side to side. You can see from one end to the other, about 20 carriages!
So there's some sights of Hong Kong. Tomorrow we are going on a boat trip.
