Another busy week at work. Did as many extra hours as was possible whilst still fitting in four games of football, one game of tennis and a trip round the pixie trail over the five days.

In the past we've worked hard to get stuff ready for real deadlines - eg our courses opening up for online registration by our students. The difference this time is that the deadline is artificial - it's all about IT management not wanting to admit "failure" by having to move a previously agreed delivery date. As one of them put it "Failure is not on my CV."

I wonder if "Making lots of people unhappy" is on his CV?

Generally, I think that people get round this sort of problem by just leaving the bad stuff off their CV.

Anyway, in a more upbeat mood, I've got tickets to see They Might Be Giants early next year. They are currently working through a "release one song a week throughout 2015" project which has resulted in some great songs.

And, if plans work out, we will combine a trip to move M's stuff out of his flat with a visit to the Russian Space programme exhibition at the Science Museum and Spectre at the IMAX. I can't wait!
