Frosty morning

One of those days when I've several blipable photos, I went for the most unusual - frosty undergrowth with the hills behind.
A cold start to the day and as we drove toward Braemar the temp dropped to -2.5C and there was frosted grass by the roadside and misty cloud in the mountain corries with blue skies above.
The walk up Morrone starts through birchwoods, in their autumn splendour today, then onto open ground and the route we took went along the edge with views into the glen and across to the high Cairngorms. The return was to the north down a quiet glen (well, it would have been if it hadn't been for the stags roaring around their harems), though a bit of forest and back through the glowing birchwoods. some of the views of the walk can be seen on the link.
