Meeting the San Bushman
After a morning walk traveled again by small plane to Camp Kalahari in the desert. Getting used to those. It was really hot. Our accommodations were again quite a step above regular hotels, luxurious except no electricity, although there was generated electricity in the main lodge. We did have to zip ourselves into and out of the tents. They showed us how to cool down by wetting kikoi or Africa Sarongs and we actually were quite comfortable. We then walked with the San Bushman. The Government has given these people challenges in the past. There are now projects to begin to right some of those wrongs. These people are descended from the oldest known native Africans and speak with the click sound. They showed us how they survive in this incredible bud beautiful arid desert.
I became totally attached to this young baby who became fascinated with me and my camera. Especially when showed him the pictures of him.
The evening included another Safari- no great pictures, another sunset and another wonderful day
