My Wild Thing

Today, we packed a picnic lunch and took our 1 1/2 year-old grandson Elliott to the zoo!  It was the perfect day for it -- nice and sunny, cool and crisp without being too cold, and the zoo we went to (Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport, Connecticut) was just the right size for a little guy. 

Elliott's special favourites were the tigers, poison dart frogs, monkeys, bison (he looked at them and immediately proclaimed "Hairy!"), and ducks.
