Inflation

I came across this bill today. The renowned restaurant closed in 2009 so I have tried to compare it with a medium priced fish restaurant and think the meal, excluding the wine, would probably be about £45.   2 glasses of wine for 55p seems very cheap even for 41 years ago and according to the inflation scale would be worth £3.64 today and the total meal at £4.25 would be £30.97.  So it seems to have been a bargain and 4 nights B/B cost £16 altogether.  Apparently the meal was about the best that they had ever eaten.
