Ribbons

We were out early this morning, to avoid the predicted (and achieved) 100 degree temperature. After a half-mile walk along city streets, we found a beautiful riverside park with paved bicycle trails. It was hard to believe we were so close to the city.

It was very refreshing to see trees and flowing water in this mostly arid area. We were surprised by the number of birds in the park. There were many photo opportunities -- making my blip choice quite challenging.

If I had more time, I'd post photos in my Flickr stream, but Cynthia is dragging me off to a place that has 100 beers on tap and a decent menu.
