Connect The Dots

As I was getting into the car on the passenger (right) side this morning, I looked down and saw a line of spots.

Hmmm... I wondered if something was leaking from the car as the line of spots extended way under the car.

Connecting the dots in the other direction gave me the answer to how the dots came to be there.

I've been trying to understand why the snail's track left the array of spots in this manner.

Quite a conundrum.

Of course there are libraries completely full with stuff I am still trying to understand.
