Surprise! The Witch Hazel bloomed

I pass this little witch hazel bush very often. So it was a surprise for me to see the squiggly yellow flowers stuck close to the branches. I got excited and rushed into the house for the camera. Once again the sun was setting. For some reason that is when I remember to blip and when the lighting is warm and lovely for blipping.
Now, I shall remember that it is just before Halloween when the Witch Hazel blooms. I wonder if it is a witch's plant?
