Baby Elk

This baby cow was probably born in May.  Now it weighs about 500 pounds.
They are really cute with their copper brown color and light beige rump patch.
Calves are born spotted and scentless as camouflage from predators  .They spend their first few weeks hiding motionless while their mothers feed
