Reflecting on solitude

Needed to go to Otley for a click and collect parcel.
On the way pulled into the lay by near the river and saw this swan in the distance. Jogged along the path till l was alongside it.
Knowing that swans are usually in pairs because they mate for life, it was rather poignant to see this one on its own.
