Paris, Place de la Concorde

From the Tuileries Garden, where an exhibit currently of art includes these Heads in the fountain, in the foreground is Place de la Concorde, where Saint Gobain has set up exhibits of sound and light commemorating their 350th anniversary.  The Eiffel Tower in the background on the left, the Obelisk of the Concorde on the right, and many many people enjoying the park..
This was also the Place de la Revolution, there the Guillotine was set up for a part of the French Revolution.  Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were among the huundreds beheaded there.  The guillotine had to be moved 4 times during the Terror days of the Revolution, because the ground became saturated due to the number of beheadings...
