Under the spreading (sweet chestnut) tree

This afternoon I went for a walk around the Oswestry Racecourse area. There were lots of sweet chestnuts on the ground under the trees. I love the way that they look like little creatures in their prickly beds.

I was also pleased to see a flock of redwings in the trees on the Racecourse. I did take photos but without my long lens they weren't good enough for blips.
