Cygnet Quintet

These very alert-looking swans are fully grown, but still have their mottled down and are paddling along happily without the parent birds in sight. The quintet were testing their wings today but I did not catch this with my camera unfortunately.  Another day perhaps.
The first extra picture shows a view of the canal looking west with the Erskine Bridge approach road top left.  The second shows the canal being dredged of leaves that clog the gates if left to accumulate with the bridge approach road top right.
