International Day
Out town, of Alfaz Del Pi celebrated its 5th annual International Day today.....we live in Albir....which is the beach part of the town.
The town has a population of about 20,000 of whom about 55% are Spanish........this makes us one of the most International towns in the Province. The Mayor, in his opening remarks, said that there are 102 Nationalities registered as living in the municipality!
Today was a terrific example of so many nationalities living together, contributing to the community and enjoying themselves!
Many of the stalls were very colourful...several with music.... and there was a great selection of national costumes being worn.
There was foods from literally every corner of the world! ....from An Olde English Tea Room to sizzling Argentinian and Brazilian steaks to Dutch cheeses......and drinks to go with them!
The dancers, in their colourful costumes.....in the Blip....are from Bulgaria.
