Millau Viaduct

Coming Home.  Driving up over the Massif Central you cross the Millau Viaduct, designed by Sir Norman  Foster.  I did some work with the practice years ago and remember seeing a model in the office and asking what it was.  I was told that it was going to be built in France over the River Tarn and would be the tallest bridge in the world and the 15th highest bridge deck in the world.

It really is one of the most amazing engineering projects of all time
