Little Birdie

I'm Back!!! Yippee!!
It has been quite the whirlwind this past week. Lots of guests and stuff to do!
I tried to keep up with everyone but time just got away from me. I think things are settled down now so I hope to resume my regular blip schedule :o)
This was a day. We had planned to go for a drive before taking Bryan back up to school. It was really raining this morning so we had some coffee and eggs and waited to see what the weather was going to do. The sun peaked out off and on then seemed to come out for good. I was on the back deck taking in the after rain smells and listening to the birds sing. This little one hung around and sung and sung! Bryan tells me its a warbler. I looked it up and by golly he was right! I didn't know he knew about birds. I'm thinking it's a young yellow-rumped warbler? Whatever it is, it's my photo of the day!
As we were about to head out on our drive, Bryan announces that he was thinking of not taking the summer courses and working instead. That was last minute. So, we regrouped, came in and chatted about what he wants to do. It was decided that he will stay here and work for the summer. So, we are not alone anymore! At least for the next few months. It is a good choice, we think, as he has a pretty heavy load next fall with biology and chemistry and other medical studies so he needs to focus on that and not worry about having a job so he can have some spending money. The end of July, his cousin is arriving from Sweden to spend a few weeks with him. So, he wants to be able to spend time with him. Now, it looks like they will be staying here most of the time, which is great! They will spend some time up in Newberg with Nick and Jessica and also in Portland.

I have missed keeping up with everyone. I will be looking at journals and checking in on everyone in the next couple of days. It was so hard not to 'ignore' my guests and jump on the computer :) Nice to be back and caught up!!

I may be blipping the bruise on my arm soon. It's turning all sorts of interesting colors. And, it's huge!! Doesn't hurt as bad though....
