House Hunting

I had my first house viewing today, the only one of 5 to reply to my emails. After meeting everyone and seeing the place, I was pretty set on it. Because spaces are so popular (800 applications at peak time last year) they told me they'd let me know later in the week.

I was invited to a friend of a friend's house in the evening for dinner and boardgames. Surprisingly, I received a phone call from an unknown Australian number...? Turned out it was the people from the viewing saying they had a place for me, but not in the room I initially went to look at. Since I'm only staying short term, they gave it to someone else. I arranged to go back tomorrow to take another look.
