Change in the weather
After the wonderful weather of the past two weeks, today was grey and - not to put too fine a point on it - chilly. There was, however, no wind, and the sea was glassy as we walked along the shore road. As we walk there so often, and because we weren't out for long, I despaired of finding anything I particularly wanted to photograph, but the gleam of light over Goatfell on distant Arran and the continuation of it onto the sea in front of Bute caught my eye.
And once I downloaded the photo for a proper look, I found I rather liked the yellow lichen on the foreground rock, and the serene mallard swimming into view from behind it.
So I'm quite happy with it after all!
