Sunshine!
What a glorious day!
Up and off to Les Jardins de Marqueyssac by a very interesting route from sat nav - if we'd been taken down roads, actually strike that, tracks like that back home we'd have turned around - as indeed did the British car that we came upon near the start of the "off road" bit!
Anyway we got there in one piece and had a fabulous walk around these amazing hanging gardens above the Dordogne taking in the beautiful views and the quite stunning topiary of the boxwoods there. Reminded us of The Lost Gardens of Heligan a wee bit in that they had to go through extensive restoration work before they were able to open to the public.
Then up to Domme for a wee wander (and ice cream!) and a look down the Dordogne from up high.
And then on our return a bit of a giggle at the canoeists getting in a complete muddle at La Roque Gageac - never seen so many bumps into the bank!!!
Back now with very rouged cheeks after a day in 21/22 degree sunshine - in October!
