A special day in the beautiful setting of Greenwich celebrating Victoria's graduation.

I'm always a bit of a wimp when it comes to these occasions - seeing so many young people reaching that milestone is just lovely. But for Vic it was more than lovely because she had a more difficult road to travel than most and a lot more on her plate. Mum would have revelled in today, so much pomp and ceremony to enjoy and her beautiful and much loved daughter even picking up a special award for her significant contribution to the university's societies (she started their first ever feminism society). Ju and I were glad of our seats on the balcony in the chapel where we could blub quietly and cheer loudly.

I felt so very privileged to share in the day though we'd all have preferred Polly Parrett to be in my seat.

Well done VLP. And well done to Mum and Ju for raising the stupendous Cookie Boo Boo Petula Parrett.
