Sunshine

After we'd enjoyed a roast chicken (with bacon, chipolatas, bread sauce) four vegetables followed by apple crumble, the sun came out and after a short read of the papers I donned my boots and went into the garden.
I layered bulbs in pots, transplanted a rose and a rudbekia into the new bed, and made mental plans for more work this coming week!
Russet joined us for a cup of tea under the pergola, where the sun was shining through the clematis leaves, and I re-discovered Carol Klein's book entitled Life in a Cottage Garden.
These delightful daisies spill over the edge of the raised bed - a brilliant, easy care plant!
