Local landscape/seascape

Our local farmlands have a generous splattering of yellow rapeseed which can be seen from afar.  I don't do yellow as a rule, but since it was just too windy to capture one of our lovely blossoms I decided against a flower blip. This paddock is just along the road from us, thats the Pacific Ocean.  The track is one of our biking/walking track which meanders along the cliff face.  The main truck line shows up nicely with the low, almost setting sun this evening.

We finally got home at 4 am this morning, totally shattered and hoping to drop off to sleep quickly - oh no not to be, so very early to bed tonight.  Nice to be home again, have had a busy day, visitors this morning and a very necessary supermarket shop this afternoon to restock the pantry.
Doug mowed the lawns as they were looking very shaggy and unloved.  The wind has been playing havoc with the garden while we've been away and more hot gales expected tomorrow. Bumma!
