Strange light reflection

This was glowing on the wall when I arrived at Aro Ling Buddhist Centre this morning. It is light reflected through the small, shell-shaped, glass bowl in which the candle sits. The reflection was large, taking up nearly the whole of the bottom, red section of the wall.
