Alstroemeria Abstract

It's been a long day in the Garden City, so what better way than to wrap it up with a floral blip of some white and purple alstroemeria which are sitting in a vase on the dining room table.

At camera club tonight we had a guest speaker, Lyttelton photographer Mick Stephenson who gave a talk about black and white photography.

Inspired by the interesting talk, I decided to put this otherwise colourful flower into a monochrome setting. I like the soft toning here, I think it gives it a bit of an art deco feel.
