Aspen leaves
The colours at the nature reserve are just stunning at the moment. These leaves are from a small cluster of aspen saplings within a few feet of each other. Each one is changing colour at a slightly different rate and with different patterning, making it a glorious sight in all directions. Add in the wayfaring trees, guelder rose, dogwood, field maple and bryony...and it is quite overwhelming! I'm so glad I've seen this before leaving for South Africa tomorrow as I have a feeling things may be a bit duller when we return.
