Up the Workers!

The Workers Museum, Copenhagan. A glimpse of life for the working (and often poor) people and their fight for a better life. The hero of the piece is Thorvald Stauning who was born in poverty, worked from age 10 while studying and looking after his ailing parents, and eventually became Prime Minister. Funnily enough he had a better grasp of what it's like to be poor and all its attendant problems than any of the public school boys at Westminster that we're stuck with.
